TheStreet was looking to expand content monetization beyond subscriptions and advertising and their founder, Jim Cramer, has a strong interest in expanding into education – but not with another book. After searching on and off for years, they found Junction and decided to get to work on their first-ever set of online courses.
Teams from TheStreet, including Jim Cramer, worked closely with Junction’s curriculum design experts to go from contract signing to launch and first revenue in under 90 days. With first month’s revenues running double projections, TheStreet Courses is off to a strong start.

Hackett Publishing was seeking to create a 24-part online Spanish language and culture workbook with embedded video, grammatical activities (auto-scored) and detailed grammatical explanations. They also needed it to be mobile-friendly and integrate with any campus LMS they may encounter.
Hackett licensed a white-label version of Junction as their learning platform and used the robust features in Junction Author to deliver an easy-to-use, and compelling, language learning experience.

Cyberwarfare: Adaptive, OER-enhanced courseware
Jones & Bartlett Learning wanted to cost-effectively update their offerings in cybersecurity to incorporate OER-sourced videos and transform their textbook and items banks into an easy-to-use, adaptive, course.
Collaboratively designed the adaptive course experience. Junction subject matter experts curated relevant OER video and aligned the the content to lessons and learning objectives tying them into the adaptive learning system. Just a few months later, a renewed version of Cyberwarfare hit the market to positive faculty and student reactions.

Startup LingroLearning needed an out-of-the-box, white-label, learning platform that could grow with them as they and their author teams brought to market one a digital-first Spanish language learning program. Junction’s turnkey LTI tool integrations enabled LingroLearning to seamlessly incorporate third-party eportfolio and online tutoring tools. Speed to market, rich assessment including audio recording, live video based “virtual office hours” and a flexible platform partner, were keys to getting their first courseware products up, running and on-campus in just months.

Junction OER Courseware
One of Dr. Arias main teaching goals is to increase student engagement in face to face and online classes. For the past two years, Dr. Arias has tried to improve the design and content of her online classes to make them more appealing to students without success until the implementation of Junction Education. She was awarded a 2016 OLC Digital Learning Faculty-led Innovation Award for her work.
